There will be only 8 highways - use them wisely (atleast in my games have not got more than 8).1 road in and out will allow for a faster turnaround of cars since they stop and let each other pass otherwise. Later in the game, if there is a traffic jam at building entrances, remove extra forks / intersections.Try to make the roads a fork or a Y instead of T or crossroads - makes the cars go faster.Essentially every building is an island with a few houses connected. Will help manage the flow better else the farther house will send cars to the farthest building. If possible, separate out the buildings and houses even if they are the same colour.Do 3-4 for square ones and 5-7 for round ones. Connecting too many houses to same building will create traffic jams.If there is a lot of same coloured house spawned together, you can break them into two or three groups, this will prevent congestion at intersection point and can cater multiple stores.Always reroute the path when necessary.Don’t feel obligated to connect every house to the roads! You don’t need to.This sometimes leads to windy roads and also isn’t always possible but has helped me a lot.
If you start a new game and the building and home are not in an idea direction to one another, just exit and start another game.Use speedways early and move them when buildings start getting in trouble.A new build is coming soon that will change that. Traffic lights are currently useless, do not use them.
